LOCATION: Montreal

JOB DESCRIPTION

Requirements : 1st Class Chief Engineer Certification Experience as a Superintendent and/or Chief Engineer Canadian citizen or permanent resident Bilingual French and English Computer proficiency Main duties and responsibilities: -close liaison with vessel's senior officers and office staff -monitoring parts and material acquisitions -overseeing planned as well as emergent maintenance and repair activities -active participation in budget preparation and control -coordinates regulatory inspections/surveys -preparing and present to clients quarterly vessel inspection reports -make recommendations for improvements in maintenance cycles -on monthly basis review the open items for resolution and cost accrual -monitor purchase requisitions -prepare specifications for dry-docking events and coordinate the project -maintain ongoing knowledge of current conditions of assigned vessels -keep upper management notified of repair, project and dry-dock budgets -provides technical consultation to vessel We are offering a competitive salary and full range of benefits - pension, 20 days vacation, health coverage, company car
