Responsibilities:
The Marine Operations Manager is charged with preparing, executing, managing and evaluating the operational aspects of both simple and complex maritime projects to ensure that the contracts are implemented in accordance with the established budget and quality standards. The position has a strong international character and involves a great deal of contact with clients abroad.

You advise during the tendering phase on the engineering aspects of projects. You draft manuals and plans for contract projects to ensure that they are implemented in accordance with the established quality standards and budget. You are also responsible for executing the projects according to contract provisions as a means of achieving the project objectives and for ensuring the availability of qualified workers with the proper certifications and of materials and other resources, so that the project is carried out efficiently. To accomplish these aims, you will perform regular inspections. Additionally, you ensure that SMIT and project-specific SHEQ standards are observed by both SMIT and contract personnel during the course of operations.
At the end of each project, you will evaluate the project objectives and report on lessons learned. You are continuously involved in improving methods and techniques in your field to offer SMIT a competitive advantage at all times.
Projects have an average duration of six to eight months, during which you will manage a team of 20 to 40 project employees including the crew (varies according to project).

Performance indicators:
• Quality, practicability, feasibility of procedures/manuals/plans;
• Hiring qualified workers and procuring materials (at the best cost-quality ratio) and resources;
• The degree to which the project is realised on budget;
• Identification, evaluation and verification of all SHEQ aspects during the course of operations.
Requirements:
• An institute of engineering and technology (HTS) degree (Mechanical Engineering, General Operational Engineering or Marine Engineering);
• At least 10 years’ experience with maritime/offshore projects;
• Excellent written and spoken English.

SMIT Heavy Lift
Work in the SMIT Heavy Lift Division typically involves a lot of time at the project location and less sailing time. SMIT Heavy Lift has a fleet of floating sheer legs that are used in projects worldwide, including the assembly of offshore structures and bridge construction, the salvaging of shipwrecks, and other hoisting and lifting activities.

SMIT Transport
The vessels in the transport fleet are deployed for a range of activities, including pusher tug and towage work, assisting in the construction of oil and gas terminals, salvage work, heavy transport and anchoring work.
Responsibilities:
As Captain, you are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the vessel and its crew so that the desired commercial and operational objectives are achieved. You prepare the journeys and projects and you ensure the safe and efficient manoeuvring and navigation of the vessel. You command the crew, making sure they are aware of their responsibilities and are able to fulfil these responsibilities to the best of their ability. You guarantee discipline, order, cleanliness and tidiness on board in order to create a hygienic and pleasant working environment.
In addition to managing all the required administrative work, you are also responsible for maintaining contacts with third parties (e.g. customers, authorities and other agencies). You draft reports on any unsafe situations or actions in order to help increase the overall level of safety in accordance with the law and internal guidelines and procedures. In order to further improve safety, you will take part in safety exercises to ensure that the crew are able to respond adequately in emergency situations.
Requirements:
• Up to 3000 GT or Master All Ships certificate;
• Valid certificates of fitness for maritime work;
• Basic Safety Training and Advanced Firefighting;
• Radar Navigator, Ship Management, Medical Training U (Unlimited);
• Experience on a tug/multicat or similar vessel is a plus;
• Experience with towage services or pusher tug work or with anchor handling activities is a plus.

• Responsibility to the FPSO Marine Supervisor for all maintenance activities associated with the offloading buoy, export hose string, mooring hawsers and tandem offloading equipment;
• Acting as the communications conduit between tanker and FPSO, especially during critical stages during cargo operations;
• Acting as the Block 18 representative for cargo documentation and issue and receipt of Notes of Protest.

• Master Mariner Foreign Going with Petroleum Endorsement and valid STCW certification;
• Fluent in English.

Chief officer

Division: Transport & Heavy Lift
Country: The Netherlands

Purpose:
Performing all relevant quartermaster duties on board and replacing the captain in his absence.

Responsibilities:

* Assisting the captain with manoeuvring and lifting activities
* Bearing responsibility for navigation and patrolling
* Planning and scheduling journeys
* Correcting and updating cards and other maritime publications, in addition to managing the associated records;
* Ensuring that the crew on deck act in accordance with the safety procedures;
* Bearing responsibility for stabilising and ballasting the ship;
* Maintaining on-deck equipment, bearing responsibility for Health and Safety policy, life-saving devices, ensuring cleanliness of the equipment and the ship’s hull;
* Administering and filing all documents and reports related to the deck division and projects;
* Delegating duties to the deck crew


Requirements:

* Pilot licence for first mate on all ships
* Valid maritime medical certificate
* GMDSS certificate
* Radar navigator
* Advanced Fire-Fighting Certificate
* Extensive on-board experience with floating cranes

PT. "K" LINE (Indonesia) Maritime Personnel Department membutuhkan pelaut-pelaut untuk posisi :

1. Master - ANT 1
2. Ch/Eng - ATT 1
3. Ch/Off - ANT 2
4. 1st/Eng - ATT 2

Kualifikasi Umum :
- Experience min. 2 tahun pada kapal Bulk Carrier
- Good in English
- Valid passport/seaman book & relevant certificates

Untuk ditempatkan pada kapal BULK CARRIER (New Build). Joining Date February 2009, Sebelumnya akan mendapatkan training di Jepang & Philipina oleh ship owner.
Gaji langsung dinegosiasikan dengan ship owner pada saat interview.
Interview dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12-13 Desember 2008 pukul 09.00 s/d selesai.
