Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for timely submittal of permit applications and correspondence with both the United States Coast Guard (USCG) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to support the Gulf of Mexico assets in their developmental and production projects.

Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer
- Must not require, now or in the future, sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., TN, H1B status)
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 5 years of USCG and ABS regulatory permitting experience
- A working knowledge of offshore oil and gas operations
- A working knowledge of Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) regulatory framework, particularly USCG regulations and ABS requirements
- Willingness and ability to be assessable by cell phone to handle off-duty requests from Business Unit (BU) staff
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
- Willingness and ability to ride in a helicopter or boat over the Gulf of Mexico (GoM) for extended periods or get transferred to or from a boat via personnel basket swung by a crane with or without reasonable accommodations
- The ability to work with minimal supervision while being a self-motivated and self-directed team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to build productive and credible relationships, particularly with operations staff and regulatory agencies
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently in order to perform the essential job functions
